I hope you do come back next year. I can't say that I remember everything you said on the New Writers panel, but I do remember that I was interested in your (specifically and collectively) perspective.

There's something about a challenge... it energizes you on multiple levels. I love a good challenge, rising to meet it and overcome it, and show the individuals who have challenged me that I'm better than they ever dreamed.

When I found out as a child that boys were supposed to be better at some things than girls, I took that as a challenge. Spatial orientation? Math? Ha. Can you say "car-tris?" So, you can't do it, eh?

Boy did they ever make a sublime mistake. I don't know whether to be grateful to them, or to pity them. Perhaps a bit of both. "thanks, you poor bastard."

I had so much fun this weekend. I'm so glad I got to tag along! As soon as my brain comes back online, I've got some stories to write.
